The Dare County Boat Builders Foundation is proud to award 24 scholarships totaling $50,000 to twelve high school students and twelve colloge students.
Congratulations to Manteo High School students Sommer Moore, Hannah R Meekins, Haley Daniels, Cody Petrey, Stevie Bradley; First Flight High School students Lindsay Fenyak, Barbra Olbrichova, Luke Mahler, Chandler Smalley, Mikey Sabadic; Cape Hatteras Secondary School students Brianna James, Tricia Cutler; and college students Carly Creef, Paxton Gwin, Carolina Harman-Scott, Mariah James, Avery Hooper, Cole Beasley, Evan Andrews, Ashley Burrus, Paige Parks, Carson Dunn, Jake Griffin and Ron Whitaker.
The Dare County Boat Builders Foundation is a non-profit, 501C3 organization dedicated to preserving Dare County's boat building heritage by actively supporting the students and families within its community.
Each year, our organization raises funds for scholarships and local educational programs in an effort to inspire life-long learning and appreciation for the skilled craftsmen who have made this local trade nothing less than legendary.
We invite you to get involved! Whether you plan to sponsor or participate in our annual sport fishing tournament or give annually to our cause, we are grateful for your support.
